Indigenous Student Centre (ISC)

Visit the centre on Edward Street to enjoy some coffee or tea, take advantage of academic advising, and meet other indigenous students. They also host social gatherings, including potlucks, cultural events and information sessions.The ISC is proud to offer traditional smudging. The centre has appropriate ventilation and sage bundles available. They welcome students and elders to visit the centre to use their smudging facilities. 

Bookstore

Dalhousie's largest bookstore is located in the basement of the SUB. This is the place to go for textbooks, school supplies, Dal and Grad gear and so much more. For more information on their textbook buyback program, and other services check out their website here.

Bisset Student Success Centre

The Bissett Student Success Centre is your source for both academic and career advising support and information. Our Student Success Advising team does more than support you with your academic planning – they can help you reach your educational, career, and life goals.

Visit dal.ca/studentsuccess, email advising@dal.ca, or drop by the Centre on the 4th floor of the SUB to meet with one of our advisors.

Dal After Dark

Dal After Dark gives Dal and King's students fun and free/low cost activities on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Stop by any of their events for a few minutes or a few hours! Multifaith Services

Dalhousie Multifaith Services is a non-threatening space where Dalhousie and King's students, staff, and faculty can address the basic questions of meaning and purpose in their lives — no matter what their faith, philosophy, or doubt may be.

Stop by for:

  • confidential guidance on personal and spiritual issues
  • groups, discussion and prayer
  • interfaith, ecumenical, and multifaith dialogue
  • services of worship and memorial services
  • information on religious rites and marriage preparation
  • workshops, lectures and social activities 
  • help locating worship communities for different faith traditions

Student Coduct Office 

If you find yourself dealing with student-student confrontations, student-neighbour issues, student-landlord problems, or certain criminal charges, Student Dispute Resolution can help come up with solutions. The office works collaboratively with students, community and campus partners, to help resolve disputes in a restorative and respectful manner.
